What worked four centuries ago still works. Not because it’s romantic. Because it’s right.

My work moves between realism and impressionism. What is sharp is deliberately sharp. What is raw is deliberately raw. That tension isn’t unfinished. It is the point.

Paint is a tool. What it has to do is make someone recognisable. Not as a likeness. As a presence. A horse. A child. A dog. Anything with character.

Horses are my speciality. Portraits are my craft. Oil paint is my language.
